Message from the Chair – Max Le Marchant, New Amherst
As a new organization, some of our main challenges in the first year of operation have been to build our association's membership and raise our profile in the Cobourg community. That means giving people a solid reason to join, support and become involved in our industry organization.
The Home Builders' Association of Cobourg was formed with three key goals in mind. The first goal is to promote the Town of Cobourg and the wonderful lifestyle opportunities and new home choices the area has to offer. The second goal is to build partnerships within the construction industry to create a strong voice in the community and build an environment that is supportive to creating a vibrant economic future for all those involved. The third and perhaps most important reason is to create networking opportunities for those working as materials suppliers for new construction, in the trades and in the professions that help make each of us stronger by building new and exciting business connections. By combining these three goals, we believe synergies will develop among the diverse players that will make the whole of our efforts much greater than the sum of the parts.
